Our first test case for the Apopt+Adapt=Adept concept 1 is JuBi in The Hague.
The location is terrific, right in the center of the center, and as an office building it is terribly dated. The core is so big, that a floor yields just too little useable space. Because of the limited use, there are only two choices. Change function or demolish the building As an office building, it cannot be made "green", even if you would change the MEP and the facade, you would simply waste too much floor area per person to be considered environmentally friendly. This starts to look promising. It obviously does not look like an obsolete office building any more, but maybe this is a little too much.....
